Mariah Inger
Director
Mariah Inger is a seasoned actor whose career spans film, television, theatre, animation, and video games since the late ’80s. She is best known for her role as Rhoda DaSilva on the award-winning series Transplant and as Helene in Season 3 of Plan B. In addition to acting, Mariah has directed a wide range of productions—from theatre and opera to an international tap-dance quartet—across Canada.
A long time mentor and educator, Mariah has taught in professional theatre programs and co-directed the Artist Mentorship Program (AMP), which supported marginalized artists nationally. She now co-runs MWM Mentorship with Warona Setshwaelo. Passionate about equity and representation, she is serving her second term as National Chair of ACTRA’s DEIB committee, continuing her work to amplify underrepresented voices in the arts.
As a script consultant and creator, Mariah is committed to developing inclusive stories that reflect the diverse world we live in. Her work—both on and off stage—prioritizes community, accessibility, and the empowerment of emerging artists. She remains dedicated to building spaces where all voices are heard and valued.
Whether leading from the stage or behind the scenes, Mariah’s multifaceted career is defined by collaboration, innovation, and social engagement. With a deep belief in the transformative power of the arts, she continues to champion new works, nurture the next generation of creators, and advocate for lasting systemic change within the industry.
