Riel Reddick Stevens

Sound Designer & Composer

Riel Reddick-Stevens is an award winning sound designer and composer. She is a graduate of Randolph College and National Theatre School of Canada, with training in acting and musical theatre. This training has allowed her to develop a practice of connecting to and creating from the body’s memories and experiences.

Riel is deeply interested in creating theatre that is accessible to people who have traditionally been withheld from the theatre world, and seeks ways to bring new voices to the art form. Through sound, she currently does this by highlighting natural sounds and mixing them with choral voice and beat making.

Recent credits include;  SEX GODESS Tour (House + Body), Measure for Measure (House + Body/ Crows theatre), Flex (Obsidian YGB sound apprentice/ Crows Theatre), Dominoes at the Crossroads (Infinithéâtre), LAYUP (Highland Arts theatre), and Tell: a choral ritual (Black theatre workshop /NAC).
